L3Harris Technologies, Inc. has been awarded a contract to provide battery monitoring systems for the U.S. Navy’s Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines. The systems are designed to oversee battery health and performance, ensuring the operational readiness of the vessels’ electrical power infrastructure.

This award integrates L3Harris into the supply chain for two of the Navy’s primary underwater platforms. The Virginia-class submarines are nuclear-powered fast attack vessels, while the Columbia-class represents the next generation of ballistic missile submarines intended for strategic deterrence.
