Palantir Technologies Inc. will be added to the S&P 500, while Micron Technology and SK Hynix will be added to the S&P Global 100. The adjustments follow a methodology rebalance that takes into account changes in market float and public float adjustment factors.

Palantir, known for its software platforms that integrate with intelligence community systems, is currently trading at $160.78, up 0.19% from the previous close of $160.48. The company holds a market capitalization of approximately $294.87 billion. Inclusion in the index typically leads to increased demand from funds that track the benchmark, as portfolio managers adjust holdings to match the new composition.

Semicoductor companies Micron and SK Hynix are also moving into the S&P Global 100. The report noted that SpaceX and AMD were not invited to participate in this specific rebalancing event. Index additions and deletions are scheduled to take effect prior to the open of trading on a specific date determined by the index provider.
