L3Harris Technologies CEO Kubasik Departs Following Internal Inquiry

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. has announced that Chief Executive Officer Christopher Kubasik has stepped down from his position and resigned from the company’s board of directors. The leadership change follows the conclusion of an internal probe related to personal conduct, which the board determined violated the company’s code of ethics and policies.

Kubasik had served as CEO and president since 2023. In conjunction with the resignation, the board has appointed an interim chief executive to maintain stability while the search for a permanent successor is conducted. The transition comes at a time when the defense contractor is focused on delivering mission-critical solutions across its three primary operating segments: Space & Mission Systems (SMS), Communications & Spectrum Dominance (CSD), and Missile Solutions (MSL).

The company provides integrated systems for government and commercial customers, ranging from space payloads to electronic warfare and missile defense technologies. While corporate governance matters typically draw investor attention regarding long-term strategy, L3Harris continues to operate its core industrial and aerospace programs. The firm is organized to support national security and civil defense requirements through its various divisions.

In market activity, shares of L3Harris are down 0.93% from the previous close, trading at $278.37. The company holds a market capitalization of approximately $54.1 billion and operates within the Industrials sector.

What to watch

  • Announcement regarding the selection of a permanent CEO.
  • Upcoming earnings release for details on segment performance and full-year guidance.
