Ark Invest Shifts Holdings Between Palantir and Rocket Lab in Latest Portfolio Moves

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest has reallocated positions across its exchange-traded funds, trimming exposure to Palantir Technologies while adding to Rocket Lab, according to the firm’s daily trade disclosures, as reported by Yahoo Finance.

Palantir Technologies (PLTR), the data analytics and software platform provider whose tools are used by government and intelligence customers, has been one of the most prominent holdings across Ark’s funds. The company’s stock traded at $170.30 in recent activity, down 2.37% from a previous close of $174.43, with a market capitalisation of approximately $439.7 billion. The company sits in the technology sector, classified under software-infrastructure.

Rocket Lab (RKLB), a space launch and satellite systems company, saw its shares trade at $65.87, up 2.3% from a prior close of $64.39, giving it a market capitalisation of roughly $42.1 billion. The company designs and launches small- to medium-lift rockets and builds spacecraft components for commercial and government customers.

Ark Invest publishes its fund transactions daily, and the firm’s portfolio shifts are closely watched by retail investors given Wood’s high profile in disruptive-technology investing. Trades of this kind involve buying and selling across multiple ETFs on the same day, so the net effect on any single position can vary — a fund may reduce one holding while increasing another in the same name through different vehicles.

The reported moves also included purchases in financial technology names outside the defence and aerospace space, reflecting the firm’s broader thematic mandates spanning artificial intelligence, genomics, and digital finance.

Neither company was involved in the decision-making; the transactions reflect Ark’s discretionary fund management and should not be read as a signal from either business. Fund disclosures simply reflect one asset manager’s positioning on a given trading day and do not indicate any change in either company’s fundamentals, contracts, or outlook.

Palantir continues to report strong demand for its commercial and government software platforms, while Rocket Lab has been expanding its launch cadence and its satellite manufacturing business. Both firms remain fixtures in the publicly traded defence-adjacent technology landscape that Ark has favoured.

What to watch

  • Palantir’s next quarterly earnings report and any updated revenue guidance for government and commercial segments.
  • Rocket Lab’s launch schedule and progress on upcoming vehicle development milestones.
  • Future Ark Invest daily trade disclosures for further adjustments to either position.
  • Institutional 13F filings, which will show broader fund positioning in both names at quarter-end.
