Ark Invest Trims Palantir and AMD Stakes While Adding Robinhood and Cerebras to Portfolios

Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest reported a series of portfolio adjustments that included reducing its positions in Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR) and Advanced Micro Devices while initiating or expanding holdings in Robinhood and AI chipmaker Cerebras, according to the firm’s latest disclosed trading activity.

The moves come as Palantir, a data-analytics software provider whose platforms serve both government intelligence customers and commercial clients, continues to trade near elevated levels. The stock closed recently at $170.50, down 0.07% from its prior close of $170.62, giving the company a market capitalization of roughly $439.7 billion. Palantir, which operates in the software infrastructure segment of the technology sector, has been a frequent subject of repositioning among institutional investors given its sharp run-up in valuation over recent periods.

Daily trade disclosures from Ark Invest are closely watched by retail investors, as the firm publishes its transactions each trading day across its suite of exchange-traded funds. While the filings reveal direction and approximate sizing of trades, they do not indicate the reasoning behind the decisions, and fund managers frequently rebalance positions for risk management, liquidity, or portfolio-concentration reasons.

On the buying side, the addition of Robinhood shares reflects Ark’s ongoing interest in financial technology and retail-trading platforms, while Cerebras — a privately traded competitor in the artificial intelligence semiconductor space — signals continued exposure to the AI compute buildout theme that has defined much of the firm’s strategy in recent years.

Palantir remains one of the more prominent names in the intersection of commercial software and government services, with its Gotham platform used by intelligence and defence customers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and allied markets. Its inclusion in widely followed ETF portfolios has made its price action a recurring reference point for sentiment on the broader defence-technology and AI software sectors.

Investors tracking institutional flows should note that single-day disclosures capture only a narrow window of activity and can reverse quickly in subsequent sessions.

What to watch

  • Palantir’s upcoming quarterly earnings report and any updates to full-year guidance.
  • Continued daily disclosures from Ark Invest to see whether the Palantir and AMD reductions continue or reverse.
  • Any new government or commercial contract announcements from Palantir that could affect institutional positioning.
