L3Harris Taps Polish Partner CTM for Local Production of Tactical Communications Gear

L3Harris Technologies has signed an agreement with Polish communications firm CTM to produce tactical communications equipment in Poland, extending the US defence contractor’s manufacturing footprint in Central Europe.

The arrangement, announced via press release, centres on in-country production of tactical radio and communications technology — a segment that sits within L3Harris’s Communications & Spectrum Dominance (CSD) business, one of three reportable divisions alongside Space & Mission Systems and Missile Solutions.

Local production partnerships have become an increasingly common feature of defence procurement in NATO’s eastern flank states. Poland, which has committed to substantially raising defence spending in recent years, has frequently sought industrial cooperation and technology transfer elements as part of major equipment acquisitions. Such agreements allow domestic companies like CTM to participate directly in the supply chain rather than serving solely as an import market.

For L3Harris, the deal aligns with a broader pattern among US primes of building localised manufacturing relationships to support European customers. The Melbourne, Florida-based company, a component of the S&P 500 Industrials sector, reported a market capitalisation of roughly $48.8 billion in the latest market snapshot, with shares trading at $252.52, down 1.26% from the previous close of $255.74.

The announcement comes as European demand for communications and networking equipment continues to draw attention across the defence industrial base, with NATO members upgrading interoperability standards and replenishing inventories.
