Ark Invest Rotates Out of Palantir and AMD, Adds Archer Aviation to Innovation Fund

Cathie Wood’s ARK Innovation ETF trimmed its positions in Palantir Technologies and Advanced Micro Devices while initiating or expanding a stake in Archer Aviation, according to a trade disclosure reported by TipRanks. The move reflects the fund’s ongoing practice of publishing its daily portfolio transactions.

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR), a software company known for data platforms used by government and intelligence clients, changed hands at $170.50, down slightly from its previous close of $170.62. The company carries a market capitalization of roughly $439.7 billion, placing it among the largest names in the software infrastructure category. Palantir’s Gotham platform integrates with other systems to support analysis for government agencies in the United States, the United Kingdom, and allied markets.

The sales were paired with increased exposure to Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR), an aerospace and defense company within the industrials sector. Archer develops electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft — electric-powered aircraft capable of taking off and landing like helicopters — for both commercial and defense applications. Its shares traded at $5.47, down 1.08% from the prior close of $5.53, with a market capitalization of approximately $4.43 billion.

ARK’s disclosed trades are closely followed by retail investors because the firm publishes its transactions daily, offering near-real-time visibility into the positioning of one of the most prominent exchange-traded funds focused on disruptive innovation. The rotation from an established large-cap software name toward a smaller aerospace developer underscores the fund’s stated strategy of concentrating in early-stage technology themes, including advanced air mobility.

Neither the fund nor the companies involved offered additional comment in the disclosure. The transactions represent routine portfolio rebalancing and do not indicate any change in the commercial relationships between the firms involved.

Archer has publicly pursued both commercial passenger routes and defence-sector opportunities, while Palantir continues to expand its government and commercial software businesses. The divergent trajectories of the two names — one trading at a fraction of Palantir’s valuation scale — highlight the wide range of maturity levels across defence-adjacent equities.

What to watch

  • Archer Aviation’s upcoming quarterly results and progress updates on its eVTOL certification process.
  • Palantir’s next earnings report and any new government or commercial contract announcements.
  • Future ARK daily trade disclosures for continued positioning changes in either name.
